Klinke's EarthSmart Systems is our commitment to using the most advanced environmental practices and technologies without sacrificing convenience, quality or customer service.

What are the Elements of EarthSmart Systems?

  1. Klinke Cleaners uses a synthetic hydrocarbon solvent that is more environmentally-friendly, gentler on clothes, and leaves no drycleaning odor.  The solvent we use is called DF2000.
  2. Klinke Cleaners uses modern drycleaning machines at each of our production locations that use the most advanced technology for maintaining and recycling our drycleaning solvents.
  3. Klinke Cleaners disposes of the solvent waste (even though our waste is non-hazardous) using the most environmentally-friendly methods.
  4. Klinke Cleaners provides free hanger valets for our customers so we can re-use our hangers.  If the hangers are not re-useable, we send them to companies that recycle the scrap metal.
  5. Klinke Cleaners recycles the polyurethane garment bags.  These bags are re-used in other plastics.
  6. We offer EarthSmart Bags to our customers so they can help us reduce our polyurethane garments bags.
